How to Collect Your Sample?
Takes under 5 minutes. Follow each step for the best DNA yield.

Activate your kit
Link your vial ID to your account or scan the QR code. This connects your sample to your results.
Do this before collecting. takes 60 seconds.

Prepare. wait 30 minutes
Avoid food, drink (except water), gum, smoking, or brushing teeth for at least 30 minutes before collecting. Morning before breakfast is ideal.

Fill the tube
Snap the funnel on. Drool gently into it (don't spit). Fill to the line. Takes 2-5 minutes.
Count liquid only. foam doesn't count.

Seal & ship
Remove funnel. Screw on the cap, shake 5 times. Place it in the ziplock bag and hand it over to the sample collection agent. (Our team will call you to coordinate the sample pickup.)

Common Questions
Your vial ID is printed on the label wrapped around the collection tube and also on the Consent & Info Card in the box. It looks like HL-XXXXXXXX. Alternatively, just scan the QR code on the kit. it links directly to your activation page.
From the date we receive your sample, results are typically ready in 2-3 weeks. You'll get an email and in-app notification as soon as your report is published. Track your sample's progress in your dashboard any time.
Try again the next morning after 30 minutes without food or drink. If you continue to struggle, contact support. we'll send a replacement tube at no charge.
Yes. Your raw data is stored in encrypted, access-controlled servers. We never sell or share your genetic data without explicit consent. You can request deletion at any time from account settings. See our Privacy Policy.
