Before you gift it, the honest bits
- The recipient must consent and do the swab themselves. It is their DNA, and their results.
- Origins reports ancestry. Decode and Infinite add wellness, carrier and drug-response information to discuss with a doctor. None of it is a diagnostic test.
- Results take 4–6 weeks from the day the lab receives the sample, not from the day you order.
- Changed your mind? Unopened kits are covered by our 7-day money-back policy.
- Their data is theirs. They activate with their own email; you see their results only if they choose to share them. Privacy policy.
Gifting FAQ
Can I hide the price from the person receiving it?
Yes. Nothing priced goes in the box: no invoice, receipt or price slip. Your GST invoice is emailed to you only. The courier's outer label shows a declared value for transit insurance, as every courier requires, but it does not name the kit price to the recipient in the parcel.
Can they use a different email from mine?
Yes, and they should. Your email is only used for the invoice and tracking. The recipient activates the kit at app.helixline.in/activate with their own email, and only they can see their results.
What if they never activate the kit?
There is no activation deadline. If the kit sits in a drawer, write to support@helixline.in and we will resend the instructions to them, or to you if you would rather nudge them yourself. Unopened kits are covered by the 7-day money-back policy.
Can I gift someone who lives abroad?
Kits ship free across India, and abroad on request through our international page (the gift wrap and printed card are packed for Indian addresses). If the person lives abroad and has already tested with 23andMe, AncestryDNA or MyHeritage, gift them a raw-data upload instead (from $25 at helixline.in/upload). Can I buy several kits at once?

Is there a gift voucher or e-card?
Not yet. Every kit ships to an address with your note printed inside. If you need a voucher or an e-card instead, email support@helixline.in and we will arrange it by hand.
