How does payment work?

No add-ons, no surprise fees.
Prefer not to pay immediately, or your international card is declined? No problem — we can also email you a payment link from support@helixline.in (Razorpay in your currency, or PayPal / Wise on request) within 2 business hours (Mon–Sat, 10 am–7 pm IST). Who is Helixline — is this a registered company?
Helixline Genomics Pvt. Ltd. is an Indian-incorporated private company based in Hyderabad, Telangana. We process samples in an Indian lab that holds ISO 15189, CAP, and NABL accreditations — the three credentials clinical genomics labs are judged by. We comply with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP), and are GDPR-compatible for EU/UK customers. Data is stored encrypted in India (Mumbai region, never in US/EU clouds) and we honour full data-deletion requests within 30 days. What raw data formats do you accept?
We accept raw data from 23andMe (v3, v4, v5), AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, FamilyTreeDNA, and LivingDNA. The file is typically a .txt or .zip file downloaded from your testing company's settings page. Files must be unmodified raw data downloaded directly from the testing provider. Screenshots or edited files are not supported.
Why use Helixline if I already have 23andMe results?
23andMe and AncestryDNA have limited reference populations for South Asia, typically grouping all of India into one “South Asian” category. Helixline takes your raw file, imputes the millions of markers your consumer chip never read against South-Asian-enriched haplotype panels, and then infers ancestry by comparing the imputed genome to 7,600+ curated South Asian reference samples plus ancient-DNA references (Indus Valley, Steppe pastoralist, AASI). That two-step — imputation, then inference against a South-Asian-first panel — is what produces state-level and community-level breakdowns, ANI/ASI/AASI proportions, and Y-DNA / mtDNA haplogroups that the original test could not.
How long does analysis take?
Results are typically available within 24–48 hours after successful upload and validation. You’ll receive an email when your results are ready in your dashboard. This is much faster than ordering a new kit, which takes 4–6 weeks. Upload Complete (the $50 / ₹3,999 plan with health, carrier screening, and pharmacogenomics) goes through an additional review by a Helixline expert before it is released to you, so the turnaround can extend by a day or two for that plan — we’ll never share an unreviewed clinical report.
Is my data secure?
Yes — and we delete fast. We use 256-bit SSL encryption for every transfer, and your genetic data is stored encrypted on servers in India (Mumbai region, never US/EU clouds) and is never shared with third parties without your consent.
Because you already keep your own copy of your raw DNA file, we only need it transiently to run your analysis (1–2 business days). So your uploaded raw DNA file (23andMe, AncestryDNA, etc.) is automatically deleted within 30 days — and you can delete it instantly, anytime, from your dashboard. Deleting fast is a stronger privacy promise, fully in line with India's DPDP Act, 2023.
Will my results be different from 23andMe?
Yes, significantly. While 23andMe might show you as "95% South Asian," Helixline will break this down into specific states (e.g., 40% Gujarat, 30% Rajasthan, 20% Punjab) and show your community-level matches.
